Can i use intel or amd apu for gpu passthrough

can i use my APU for the host and use my GPU for windows 7 and switch to my real GPU on my host when i need to play Linux games? i have a old GPU but im lazy

Switching the graphics card between OSes isn’t going to turn out well, but the integrated graphics could work to power your display on linux.

IOMMU groups that work and probably a weekend to setup KVM/QEMU for passthrough. If you’re not using looking glass you will need a second monitor.

or a second input on your monitor and switch its input when gaming.

e.g., run one card on displayport and the other on HDMI and change input on the monitor as appropriate.
