Is there any good reason to get the brushed grommets rather than open hole or sliding hole ones?
Should be more durable than rubber ones.Rubber ones can loose their flexibility ,rubber might become brittle and could crumble/break after several years.
cleaner looks since they conform to the shape of whats going through em
I'm not really looking at rubber, all the ones I'm considering are hard plastic, just the hole I'm worrying about.
So, in other words, it's a choice between fueling the OCD that has driven me to this purchase in the first place, or spending more. Thanks.
is the brushed grommet I was considering. Unfortunately they're about 2x as expensive as the non-brush kind.
oh, those are rad. enough space tho?
That's the part aside from the cost that worries me.
I need 3 of these things. One behind the monitors, one behind the tower, and one ahead of the monitors / behind the keyboard.
We're talking about...
Hole #1:
4x standard power
1x HDMI
2x DVI
Hole #2
1x Standard Power
1x HDMI
2X DVI
8~10xUSB
1x Ethernet
1x Phone
1x Phone Power
1x 3.5mm jack audio cable
Hole #3
6~8x USB
1x 3.5mm jack audio cable
Ninja edit: These numbers are LOW -- they represent the desk setup NOW as opposed to ideally.
Bump. I'm surprised there's not more interested in cable management.
