Building new rig

Hey new here and I was wondering if you guys can help me with a new rig I'm building.

last rig specs

motherboard: gigabyte 965p-s3

cpu: 2.13ghz core two duo

graphics: gtx 275

ram: 4 gbs max patriot ddr2

psu: 500 watt (dont know the brand)

I have a intel build lined up but it cost way more than this one. I'm planning to add a dedicated gpu later on.

I've also read up on the new amd kaveri apu if the integrated graphics is worth waiting for.

thanks for all the advice you guy can give me

I wouldn't wish an APU build on even my worst enemy. Buy an $80 CPU (Athlon 750k)and a $70 GPU (HD 7770) and It'll stomp all over that silly A10 APU.

Yep.  Although APUs have come a long way, a low-mid range GPU will stomp all over it.

A build I made for someone earlier today:

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1LiLD

CPU: AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz 6-Core Processor.  6 Cores, better perfomance.

MOBO: Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 Micro ATX AM3+ Motherboard.  Cheap one that works.  And by Gigabyte <3

RAM: Kingston Blu Red Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1333 Memory.  Cheapest stuff I could get.  Should work fine, though I still prefer 1600mhz memory.

HDD: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive.  WD, 1TB.  yay.

GPU: MSI Radeon HD 7850 2GB Video Card.  Mid range gpu.  My own 1GB version is pretty damn good at 1080p.

CASE: Fractal Design Core 3000 ATX Mid Tower Case.  Cheap one.  Does the job.

PSU: EVGA 500W 80 PLUS Bronze Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply.  EVGA, 80+, decent quality.

OD: Lite-On iHAS124-04 DVD/CD Writer.  Cheapest one, if you need it.
