Heres what i could do. Changed out the ram for a pair of 1600mhz. Because it won't really make a difference while gaming. And you could overclock this corsair ram to 1866mhz if you really wanted to. Chose a 7950 instead of the original 7870xt. With the monitor you chose it was only 1600x900 so i swapped it out for a 1920x1080 monitor.

How important is the non stock cooler for the PC

Well i only chose it because it would be quieter and keep the cpu cooler. The stock one can get quite loud on load and even on idle.

i made this: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1fVNg

i choosed for a Msi GTX-760 gpu instead of the 7870XT because its a better performing card. and its only a few bucks more.

and i pickedup a bigger monitor, ofc you can choose to stay with your cheaper monitor choice. to cheap out ☺

+1 on the build except I would change the RAM to 1600Mhz to save a bit, because you do not really need it in this build and it should also make up for the cost of upgrading to the nicer fancier GPU in this build.

@Dr. Jetix I already changed the RAM to 1600 on my wish list I got. Also I didnt know the 760 was out I almost just bought a GTX 660. Ive also ordered the Case, OS, Monitor for the computer while they were on sale @ newegg. @MisteryAngel I got a different monitor than the one I listed above it was a 1080p screen for $109. (on sale).

Good to hear! I wish you luck on the build!
