I’m having a bit of bother getting e_smi_tool to work properly.
I’ve built the tool, and I’ve ensured that the HSMP is on in UEFI, but I appear to be missing a driver:
As you can see, I have a few error messages and very limited data.
I’m a bit lost as to how I might go about rectifying this - all the reading I did of the esmi_ib_library documentation made getting this mystical driver in the right place sound a bit scary and hellish of a process, somehow.
System:
ASUS TRX50, latest BIOS (1203)
Ryzen Threadripper 7960X
4x 32GB DDR5-4800 RDIMM
RX 9070 XT
CachyOS (up to date as of last Friday)
EDIT:
I forgot to do the whole modprobe thing this time round. I did it last time I tried this and didn’t realise it wasn’t persistent… consider this solved for now
