Budget PC AMD Kaveri

Hi guys Im on a tight budget so I was thinking going for AMD A10-7850k APU,

But the latest A10 I can find here in the philippines is a A10 6800k, Im in a budeget no money for a dedicated GPU and I saw a video that A10 7850k can run in 1080p by itself.

Just saw a 7850k :P its available here.

I will be buying a 24" monitor soon so I need to buy my CPU first before anything else.

A10-7850k

Gigabyte GA-F2A88XM-HD3

Seagate 1TB HDD

G.Skill RipjawsX 2x4GB DDR3 2133

Aerocool GT Advance USB 3.0

Aerocool 500watts 80Plus Bronze

Samsung Optical Drive

still over the budget but what do you think guys? ay tweaks to make it more cheaper?

May I ask; what is your total budget?

Are you planning to add a discreet graphics card later on?

Can you include the prices of those components in your country?

Just by looking at the list, the first thing that popped out as a possible cost savings is the motherboard. You could go with something else that will still give you lots of features but cost quite a bit less.

To bring the price lower, a AMD 7700K would be suffice. You could go with 4GB's and when you get the money get another 4GB to reach 8GBs. Everything else is fine where they are.

As of now the Philippine Peso to US dollars is 1$ = 45 Pesos.

Ill list the price its over 27k  in Pesos.

A10 - 7850k                                                          P 8,930.00 PHP
Gigabyte GA-F2A88XM                                        P 3,400.00 PHP
G.Skill RipjawsX 2x4GB DDR3 2133                     P 4,450.00 PHP
Aerocool 500watts 80Plus Bronze                        P 2,200.00 PHP
Aerocool GT Advance USB 3.0                            P 1,620.00 PHP
G.Skill RipjawsX 2x4GB DDR3 2133                     P 4,450.00 PHP
Seagate 1TB HDD                                                P 2,850.00 PHP

Currently my money is only 20k PHP, I want to save money Im not that all hardcore gamer.

The games that I play is RF Online, Ragnarok, Aura Kingdom, GTA, LOL etc.

Havent tried BF4 or anything because my PC right now prevents me its a 7 years old dual core rig with a GT 240 GPU which sucks even in aura kingdom.

Heres my other build here in the philippines but its expensive 28k >.<, and I thought I would save some money if I go with the APU but when I total the APU its work 27k TOTAL.

Heres the other build.

FX 6300 P 5,350.00 PHP
Asus M5A97 LE R2.0 P 4,370.00 PHP
Aerocool 500watts 80Plus Bronze P 2,200.00 PHP
Aerocool GT Advance USB 3.0 P 1,620.00 PHP
Corsair Vengeance 2x4GB DDR3 1600mhz P 4,300.00 PHP
Seagate 1TB HDD P 2,850.00 PHP
Inno3d GTX 650 Ti Boost 2GB 192 bit P 7,350.00 PHP
______________
TOTAL P 28,040.00PHP

Aerocool psu = Aeroexplosion!

Aerocool is not a good PSU? how about if I get corsair 450w VS?

The corsair will be 100times better than the areocool

+1

would 450w be enough? for this APU and a 24" LED monitor?

it is enough and the monitor will have its own seperate power brick so it not using the power supply

is all the parts good?

depending on which aerocool psu you talk about?

The Aerocool Horsepower and the GT-500 Serie, is a CWT unit, and those are not  that bad. Corsair also use CWT units in theire HX series.

Grtz Angel ☺

I would really like to get the latest APU the A10 7850k hmm still need to save some money.

the 2 sets of rig I showed you what is the best?

Rig 1 is with APU A10 7850k 27k+ total.

Rig 2 is with FX 6300 28k+ total.

the FX rig is vastly superior in terms of the performance you would expect, I'd rather go with an AMD card, maybe a 7790 or 7850 because of mantle and the possibility to use all six cores on games that will support but the GTX is also a nice card, especially if you don't like AMD's support. If you can put your hands on a GTX 560ti it would be even better, on the nVidia side.

I'm from the PH too :D If I were you I would go for an x4 760k and a 260x or a 7790 like Divergence said, BUT you know and I know that 760k is nowhere to be found here so I'll go with a8-6600k its has almost the same price and the same performance as a 760k. 7850K isn't the best option right now because in most benchmark it's inferior or in some cases the same to the 6800k it's only edge is HSA but i don't see benefits for gaming plus the price is ridicule in my opinion. Here is my take. Its better than Rig 1 in terms of performance and cheaper as well :))

  • A8-6600K (as a 760k) P4750
  • Asrock FM2A75M-DGS P2700
  • WD Caviar Blue P2640
  • Crucial Ballistix Sports Ram 4gb P1800
  • EVGA 500B P2200
  • Fractal Core 1000 P1500
  • XFX R7 260x

all for P22490 around $499. You can also go with an A10 6800k for the meantime and upgrade to a gpu if you think you need to. P15990 for an APU build around $355. Ultimately it's your choice :D

I was indeed going to do an FM2+ build with an Athlon II X4 750k, plus a dedicated card, that would give you the best bang for the buck IMHO. Still due to the lack of L3 cache and more cores available I would recommend to jump to AM3+ if the budget allows it :)

Haha, I would like to make it an FM2+ MB too but i don't think there isn't much fm2+ mobo here, maybe the gigabyte would do if he's thinking of upgrading later. I agree if the budgets allows it go for the am3+ but In his case he said that the budget is stretched(at mukhang mahabang ipunan nanaman yan bro :)). best budget build 750k/760k plus a dedicated GPU :D

The ASRock FM2A88X Extreme6+ is an awesome FM2+ motherboard and it costs around 80€, it has 8+2 power phase and heatsink, which makes it a very good overclocking board aswell. That is the board I would have chosen in that case.

I really like AMD GPUs, I just thought that I would save some money if I go with the latest APU but it didn't HAHA.
