Asus has released a new power connector to the market, looks to go as far as needing a custom case as the mobo has connections on the back now.
While I dont care for Asus, a computer with shorter and less visible power cables is nice.

there has been several attempts at this recently. Nothing really seems to stick though.
Not a fan. Too limiting in what slots a GPU can go into and too limiting on the case.
