Boot from NVMe (on PCIe card) on Asrock Rack EPC612D4U motherboard

Hi,

I am running my homelab on an Asrock Rack EPC612D4U motherboard. So far I use an SSD as the boot drive, because I was never able to get it to boot from NVMe. I am using the NVMe on a PCIe card (Supermicro AOC-SLG3-2M2). Now I would like to move from a single SSD to a NVMe mirror to boot and tried my luck again.

I checked the BIOS settings and set all OpROM options to UEFI (also tried it with Legacy), because I found this recommendation online. Unfortunately, no luck.

Are there any other things I could try? Thanks in advance!

Your mainboard does NOT support booting from PCIe devices. (NVMe=PCIe)

Well, that was easy it seems :upside_down_face::slightly_frowning_face:! Thanks! Will try with SSD then
