Boot drive ssd

Hey, im planning on getting an ssd to use as a boot drive, but i currently have windows and a vast majority of my files on a hdd. Is there a way that will basically uninstall windows 7 off the hdd so i can still keep any other file ex pictures files programs and then do a fresh install onto the ssd? also would 120gb be suitable or should i spend a little extra and get a larger size?

120 should be fine. what you can do is install a fresh copy of windows onto the SSD then just go to town on the other HD erasing all the windows stuff.

Make a partition on your HD and fill it with your important files. Then uninstall windows and then put it on the SSD. You will have your important files still safe.
