I wonder if this will conflict with my college or not, it seems like an independent course that I can just sign up.

Ah okay. I signed up for it, $12 for a course isn't too shabby given how expensive courses are in a college, like even a community college, nevermind a university.

Ya im pretty sure its just an independent online course. To my understanding all the lessons are posted online and you can go through them at your leisure.

Yup i signed up to a bunch of udemy courses awhile ago for blender, unity, unreal etc.
They are typically well presented and instructors are easy to understand. There are forums of a sort you can use to get help and interact with the instructors. If you can get them cheap i think they are a good deal.
The mobile app lets you download lectures.
