Stumbled on the BISDN Linux project recently. Since ONL/ONX is long outdated and a good variety of SONiC switches still haven’t hit the used market in a real way, there’s not a great option for someone like me who wants switches that run a POSIX-compliant operating system.
Their hardware support list is quite small, but I think the project is very promising. Would also make a good video imo @wendell
I’ve reached out to them to see what kind of cost is associated with adding new platforms. 10Gbase-T SONiC switches are especially difficult to find, so I’d like to see them add support for one…
