Between G.Skill or Corsair DDR3 memory

Folks,

 

Hi! I'm new to these forums and a big fan of the Tek.

 

It appears BF4 will benefit from having as much RAM as we can. I currently have 8GB and it appears 16GB would provide a better experience. A BF4 beta review by HardOCP described basically the same experience I had when I played the beta on my system, so I could benefit from increasing memory. 

 

Anyhow, I have narrowed down the selection to 2 options:

 

G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 16GB 

 

Corsair Vengeance 16GB

 

(and yes both are blue)

 

I've had experience with Corsair in the past so I trust the brand. I have heard so much about G.Skill that I'm willing to take the chance. BTW I plan on running XMP values on either option as I would rather overclock my CPU.

 

Any help and suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

well if you have 8gb already why dont you just add 8gb more of the same stuff you have? But I would go with the G skill

Thanks for the reply. I've been pondering the same, perhaps just add 2 extra sticks for getting the 16GB. I've had mixed results in the past with all 4 dimms populated.

I'll keep the G.Skill in mind then!

The Gskill has better timings. Also almost all ram has a lifetime warranty. Something to take into consideration.
