Best OLED TVs for Movies and Gaming?any suggestion

I researched the best OLED TV for the past few days because I’m planning to upgrade my current TV. I read reviews and comparisons from a few different sources, and these two options caught my attention:

LG 65-Inch OLED evo AI 4K C5 Series Smart TV (OLED65C5PUA, 2025):

Sony 65 Inch BRAVIA 8 II QD OLED 4K HDR Smart Google TV (K-65XR80M2):

However, I’m having trouble deciding which one would be the better choice for my home. I mainly want a TV for watching movies and TV shows, streaming, sports, and some casual gaming. Picture quality is especially important to me, but I also want good smart features and reliable performance.

Are there any specific differences I should look for when choosing between these two?

If anyone has experience with this LG OLED model or has compared similar OLED TVs, I’d appreciate your recommendations.

Thanks in advance!

In terms of image quality QD-OLED is better (all things being equal), but they’re both great. I don’t use any smart TV features but as I understand it Sony uses android while LG uses their own webOS thing. They’re both going to have all the common apps but Sony will support anything that’s on Android.

I would suggest staying the heck away from this. Smart TV companies are very aggressively monetizing your data in ways one may not expect, even if one is generally aware of the nature of such things in adtech. Performance is also usually not great.
If the goal is to have smart TV features for Netflix streaming then I would invest in an Apple TV for the better privacy (and better UX.)

I like my LG but I never hook up tvs to the internet so that wasn’t a problem for me

My 42" LG C3 has been a fantastic monitor.

It has never even once been connected to the LAN or public internet for this very reason. I never trusted them, and I knew they were doing shit like this years before the story broke.

Every now and then I grab a firmware update online, save it to a USB stick and flash it that way. If I couldn’t the TV would never get a firmware update, as there is no way I’m connecting any spy-device like that to the internet.
