Best Graphics Card For Under £120 (about $140)

I have a budget of £120 for a graphics card, I havnt got one yet because I was using the A6-5400K recomended in the cheap ass gameing rig. I cant run GTA 4 Multiplayer because its too slow so I think a GPU would help ALOT. the rest of the spec is on my proffile and if you think smething else would help more then please say

thanks for any help

You can pair the A6-5400k with a discrete GPU in crossfire. Looks like an AMD Radeon HD 6570 would work and be reasonably priced. This would probably be your best bet m8y. Though I suggest you gab this question to others mugs m8 and see what comes about.

... Looks like you went for an APU build. Don't know if the CPU will bottleneck the crap out of a 560Ti 448. GTA4 is a badly ported game. So yeah, you should probably get a 6570 for a balanced rig.

My advice, buy a used 4870 1GB. They're wonderful cards and still hold their own in modern games etc. They currently can be had for £30-45 on ebay used. Just make sure you have at least a CX 430 v2 PSU, or any 500W PSU to power it.

well the fact you have got 1600mhz ram really does'nt help, you really need the faster stuff as your apu borrows the the memory from the ram. also i would just sell your a6 and get an a10, and grab the faster ram while your at it and once again sell your old stuff.

your cpu is going to bottleneck pretty much .the best idea would just to get the a-10 5800k like thanos said.

The 4870 is only DX10.1 compatible....

The Radeon 5770 or 6770 are better choices for that performance, and include full DX11 support.

4870 wut?

where should I grab a A10 and also what ram should I get?

aria.co.uk

overclockers.co.uk

amazon

scan.com

do not go to dabs.com

pcpartpicker.com/uk is also good

should I buy a HD 6670 now and later get a A10-5800K for it?

i would grab the A10 and 1866 ram first, you will see more of a perforemance boost, then grab the 6670 so you can actually crossfire it

I am looking at getting 2x4gb Dimms of Kingston Beast running at 1866 MHz for £42

http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00A771ZSW/?tag=pcp0f-21

and the A 10

Good idea?

yeah kingston make some good RAM and thats a good price also that's some good cas latency so yeah good choice :) Also oc'ing that RAM will do you wounders

i found the A10 for £2 cheaper here

post and packaging might outweigh the saving compared to amazon but i doubt it

actually you know what screw the ram for now just OC your current RAM to 1866 and grap the 6670 for crossfire with the A10 apu

only go this route if you are willing to oc your RAM

the only thing is, I dont know how to OC my ram. All I dont know is how up the voltage. I will have a poke around my bios and see if I can find out
