Best gaming PC for $500?

If you can wait, I will have a $500 Build coming up for thursday. It'll have an AMD and Intel Option.

cheers mate, i look forward to it

4 amd cores are better then 2 intel cores in that price range

Here is what a intel build will look like (i tryed my best to keep it bellow $500..throw away the dvd drive its less than $500)

and if you were looking at those two systems (the AMD vs the Intel) which one would your reccommend?

Sorry I took a while to reply, but I decided to do 2 options for an AMD build for $500. Here's the build with and FX CPU: http://gyazo.com/1401ae34cea902f020ec3cbc07605089.png Total - $499.93

And here's the build with the AMD A10 and Radeon 6670 crossfire setup: http://gyazo.com/1957e4a86eff8aefd5c7437d8cdcccd3.png?1366254684  Total - $502.92

Well if i had to choose between the  i3-2100 and the FX-4130 for me i think ied go for the i3 but if you whanted to spend that little $30-$40 more you can add a FX 6300 in the AMD rig and blow away the i3 in to the dust

You think it's really that much better? Is that just because of the 6-cores?

the performance of the FX 6300 and the amount you can clock it up too is just astounding for how little it costs

I have that CPU! It is maybe 1-3% slower than the i5 3570k! It kills compared to the price. (and a cheaper motherboard perhaps)

What is cl9?

Cas latency. The lower, the better. I've even started a thread a while ago. It says everything. Get atleast cl11. (if it's cheap enough) Cas latency is the amount of time your RAM needs to react to a task. Here is something, so you can pretty much compare it. Price and value, that's it. :

and mhz is how fast he can work on the task. (or lets say tasks...)
