I’ve just started experimenting with the cTDP setting in my motherboard BIOS (Supermicro H11DSi) for 2x Epyc 7302, cranking the cTDP up from the default setting to 180W. I’d like to quantify the performance impact somehow - could anybody here recommend a linux-compatible benchmark (perhaps one of the phoronix test suite ones) that would best expose the difference with the manual cTDP setting? My goal here is just to prove that the settings are in fact working, before I move on to assessing whether it makes a difference for my real-life workloads (in case it doesn’t).
