I'm trying to figure out what consolidated backplane to use with a IBM m1015 for freenas.
I was thinking of running a cable to the sas backplane then cables to the sata 3 HD'S unless there's an aesthetically appealing HD cage solution with a backplane since this will be a windowed case.
I can always hide the backplane if it's small.
I want to have atleast 6 drives not including hotspares/parody and 2 chache drives since this will be on a 10gb network.
I gave up on the phantek mini xl and decided on making a child proof case as my 2&3yo enjoy pressing power and reset buttons.
