AWS Lambda Supports PowerShell

Dannng. That’s crazy stuff.

For those of you that may not know what “AWS Lambda” is, it’s Amazon’s Function as a Service aka “Serverless Computing” infrastructure in AWS.

You create a “function” in your programming language of choice (limited at the moment):

to perform a variety of tasks on your infrastructure.

Really surprised by this, would have expected Bash or even Ruby to hit waaay before PowerShell.

PowerShell’s rise in popularity, plus AWS clients leaving for Azure may have both contributed to this decision.

Really interesting, regardless.

Good for PoSh!
