Automated server burn in testing

Hello all, long time listener first time caller!

Now that I’ve dated myself with an awkward joke, I’m wondering what people are using as a live distribution for burn in testing these days? I used to use Inquisitor to stress test new systems before they went into production but that project looks like it’s been dormant for a while now.

I know Canonical’s MaaS has a nice burn in facility you can use before adding servers to the provision pool but I’d like to go a little more bespoke with it.

Are there any live distro’s you like for stress testing enterprise gear? Something that I could boot over PXE, run some automated tests, and fire off the results would be perfect.

Thanks!
~joe

Any version of Windows stresses me out lately.

JMeter and Locust are starting points.

Does this link help?

I also just asked ChatGPT to write a Python script for stress testing and it gave me a nice compact chunk of code. May also be an option for you.
