Autodesk

I'm currently looking into building a new workstation to run Autodesk. My current workstation slow down and freeze when i'm dealing with a large files. Any suggestion.

So what budget/country?

And what's your current PC and display set up?

You could always search on Amazon, and Ebay for a workstation GPU such as a Nvidia Quadro K2000 and a K4000, both are single slot GPU's that work in the $250-$350 USD range. For AMD you could take a look at the FirePro w5000 series. This AMD workstation GPU is single slotted as well.

Autodesk makes lots of software families. You will have to be more specific so that we can determine your system requirements. AutoCAD can run with a 1Ghz 32 bit CPU and 2GB of RAM. Obviously you want more than that.

Autodesk Inventor
For Complex Models, Complex Mold Assemblies, and Large Assemblies (typically more than 1,000 parts)
CPU Type Recommended: Intel Xeon E3 or Core i7 or equivalent, 3.30 GHz or greater
Memory Recommended: 24 GB RAM or greater
Graphics Recommended: Microsoft Direct3D 11 or capable graphics card or higher

I would still take into consideration a workstation GPU, when rendering files with many layers especially 3D isometric along with full 3D rendering having a full unlocked Quadro or FirePro would help as well.
