I’ve noticed that the manual contains this section on page 1-13 (below “10. SlimSAS Port”):
“The SlimSAS port allows you to connect NVMe storage devices, and can support up to 4 SATA devices using a transfer cable.”
Can anyone with access to the MB check if the SlimSAS ports actually do(n’t) support SATA with the correct cable?
It wouldn’t be surprising as ASUS made other mistakes in their documentation. For example, they put “4 Channel Memory Architecture” in the Tech Specs at first and the block diagram doesn’t include the ASM4242 USB4 controller (mislabeled?).
