what slots do you have your Ram in ? You have made the CPU properly seated? Have you tested this with peripherals connected?
Micro Center flagged me down today because I have bought returned so much hardware. I felt bad but they were nice about it.
I repoeted the 3500c issue to amd and asus a whilr back. Quite a while back.
Try ordering a $20 tpm module for tour board and see if thst resolves rhe issue. Chasing down an unreal compile stutter rn as a matter of fact.
sometimes I just set the TPM to the discrete one even though one’s not connected. That’s how you “bypass the TPM entirely” so to speak.
To my knowledge, it was only very important for installing windows
Give this a try for your 0d errors and explicitly set fclck first to 2000 then later to 1800 if its still wonky
I went ahead and disconnected the Arc A770 and so far there seems to be no weird stuttering after my last crash documented in Kitty’s other thread. The system booted faster and signed in much more smoothly after entering my password.
Thankfully the Fractal Torrent makes pulling the side panels super simple.
what Ram and CPU are you using?
i have a 7975 on the way and no processor or ram atm
I know W11 has optimization issues for the 40-series Nvidia cards that as far as I’m aware they’ve not been able to solve. Switching back to 10 was already a huge improvement, but it really appears to be an issue with the Intel Arc A770, which is unfortunate as I wanted to leverage it for various workloads that I have where it would do similar or better than the 4090 without tying up the 4090.
Have you tested without the card installed and with its drivers removed? I understand the desire for its processing. I get it i thought of doing the same for a bit.
I will do this once i get my parts. Thanks.
Were you having 0d and this kinda resolved it?
No 0d issues. Unfortunately with this last crash, I forgot to look at the Mobo once again, but after looking up the stop code and the .sys file mentioned in the BSOD, I immediately disconnected the A770.
Win11 Pro, and 2x G.SKILL Zeta R5 Neo 128GB (4 x 32GB) ECC Registered DDR5 6400 R-DIMM kits (8 sticks for a total of 256GB, stable at 6000 - haven’t tried pushing it further to 6400).
You have gotten no 0d errors or anything like this ?
No, not a one.
Nice. You have the 64 core correct?
Correct - 7985WX
cool cool
I bought a replacement board and it has exact same symptoms, seems it was not the problem after all. Figuring the problem was PSU i replaced that with Seasonic 1600w and still same yellow DRAM led. I guess my CPU is fried? This platform is a nightmare!
Please report later after RMA your CPU is it really dead. I wonder how this is possible.
Take a pic or five of your setup please?
