ASUS PRIME X370-PRO BIOS update

Well I installed the 4602,

but just re-set the same settings I already validated with the 4207 no issue with it so far.

It does bring support for future Zen2 processors, so a good point for AMD keeping its word, and a way to keep us looking forward to it

Running the BIOS 5216 since yesterday (was on 5204 already)

No issue installing, more new features in the BIOS, and stable for now

I do see a diffference in the way the processor boost, like it is getting off quicker and you need a bit of patience to have a stable iddle period.

Maybe more responsive, which is nice for me (desktop usage)

I should add that my setting preference already changed (same HW):
I still undevolt the CPU slightly (1.325v), but reduced the stable all core multiplier from 39.5 to 38.5 to keep more headroom for boost.
Oh and I do run the memory @3000 (16 17 17 35) stable but need 1.385v for that

Well the platform is not dead, looking but not changing yet…

Edit: Nb I also noticed, in the BIOS, even with my undervoting, that the voltage / temp shown is higher, it looks a bit more agressive on the voltage

Well my custom 3000 MT/s was not stable after 3 weeks :frowning:
and 5022 is out …

So I updated the BIOS to 5022 (I do not plan to use PCIe4)

And for the memory use the standard 3000MT/S params but with the 1.85V custom voltage setting and yess the 16 17 17 35 because 15 17 17 35 never was stable

No issues yet, the overall performance does not seem affected, but the ambiant temps are now lower

So required, no, no issue yet though
