Asus NUC 14 pro has ECS mac address

Essentially just a tiny motherboard, so hopefully correct posting location?

The integrated i226v 2.5g interface has a 88:ae:dd:72:xxxx mac, which is registered to Elitegroup. Was not aware of any connections between these companies.

Im not worried or anything, it just seems unusual?

IIRC ECS is the ODM of a lot of things. Here in the Philippines, their offices handle MSI and Lenovo, among other things. I would not be surprised if they produced the NUC for Asus.

Ahh, thanks for the info!

Sadly, that makes it seem a little less premium. Though I guess Asus has had its own problems recently.
