I recently purchased, from Amazon :(, a reconditioned Asus W680 Ace Pro SE and the default credentials (admin/admin) for the IPMI/BMC don’t work when I enter them in the web UI login screen. I guess that whoever previously owned the board created a unique password. Is there a way to reset the credentials? (I did a bit of Googling but nothing obvious is coming up.)
Boot to Linux use ipmi tool
Even a Linux live USB would work fine
Ubuntu doesn’t have ipmi tool installed but you can apt install it even in the live image.
