So the laptop assembler needs to pay ransom to Nokia for a technology which is integrated into the GPU? That’s fucked up. I’d get why nvidia, Intel or AMD would need to pay if they use a patented technology. Not the assembler of the PC. It blows my mind.
That’s why we need open standards not HDMI consortium levels of retardness.
