ASUS 990FX PRO R2.0 3 Way Crossfire Support?

Hello!

I was  wondering if ASUS 990FX Pro R2.0 Supports 3 way crossfire ?

The Asus website says Quad fire support, But the ports are arranged in such a way that 4 cards Wouldnt go in at once.

Help would be much appreciated!

The asus crosshair v formula supports 3 way crossfire with 3 single gpu cards. The reason that some motherboards say 4 way sli/crossfire with only 2 pci-e slots means it supports 2 dual gpu cards such as the 690 or the 7990 totaling a 4 way crossfire.

it's possible if you water cool your gpus, removing the stock coolers that make it either 2 or 3 slot cards.

+1 But i would not recommend a triple CF/sli on this board anyway, because the problem is that the black slots are X4 slots, so the whole setup will run at X4, best way is just a dual gpu setup, running at X16.

The Asus crosshair V Formula Z,or the Asrock Extreme 9 are capable to run a Triple gpu setup at X8. The Extreme 9 will be the best in terms of slot positions.
