Asus 5-way optimization

Hey guys.

So I've just completed a new build with a 6600K, Hero VIII, and H100i GTX.

I'm very new to overclocking, this is the first real overclockable system I've owned. Just getting my feet wet atm watching vids/reading forums etc. Was planning on doing it properly via bios in the near future.

I tried the Asus 5-way optimization just to check it out, and it appears to have very successfully applied a monster, albeit suspiciously cool and stable, overclock. I wasn't expecting to hit 4.7Ghz even via bios, especially not at such a reasonable core voltage.

So I'd be very appreciative If anyone knowledgeable could have a quick peek at my screenshot and reassure me that everything is as good as it looks!

Guess my main question is: Is there any reason not to just leave this 'auto' oc as it is and run it 24/7? I'll do more stress testing tomorrow, but I haven't hit 80C yet and it's been going on Prime95 for a while. I did the HWMonitor stress tests also. I have a ton of cooling overhead also, my fans aren't anywhere near 100%.

Thanks all!

Reset the min/max values on HWMonitor and ran Cinebench R15.

If you do a manual overclock in the BIOS you would probably be able to lower the maximum voltage versus what the auto overclocking does (yours is showing 1.360v) and you might be able to squeeze another 100 or 200 Hz out of it. The 5-way autotune on my X-99 Pro/USB 3.1 board stopped at 4.1, but I was able to get a stable 4.4 @ 1.275v with a manual overclock.

Auto-OC software is always going to put your voltage higher than it needs to be. You'll probably be able to keep that same OC with 1.30V

OK thanks. I'll start looking to dial back the VID voltage a little.

The only time I saw it at 1.360 was during that Prime95 test and that was just on the Ai Suite display, HWMonitor was maxed at 1.315 during Prime95 and normally sits around 1.2v @4.7GHz when doing cinebench or the CPU-Z stress test.

Dunno, slightly confused with offset mode, happy with the 4.7GHz and the temps, and if HWMonitor is accurate then the voltage at 1.25vish seems easily under control?

Gonna game all night and see how it feels :)
