Hi. I just bought the X570d4u 2l2t. Updated BMC and then BIOS hoping to make the “System Inventory” visible. It is still empty. Anybody solved this?
Which BMC and bios?
I’m om BMC 1.191.00 and bios L2.59C
The system inventory shows just fine. Using firefox, don’t know if that matters
I downloaded from Asrock website specifically the 2l2t version. BMC 1.35 and BIOS 1.70.
my mistake, sorry
I got the System Inventory to work. I realized when I updated the BMC I chose “Preserve Configuration” which I believe was a mistake. The “Preserve Configuration” while updating the BMC firmware retained the old configuration which did not recognize the “System Inventory” function. I had to go to BIOS–> Server Management–> Load BMC defaults, save changes and reboot. Set IP to manual and viola! Now I am able to view System Inventory. Hope this helps for those who cant get the System Inventory to work. ![]()
Hi guys,
I would like to ask what is the setup you have for the IPMI nic? bonding, split?
Split iirc. Not sure if it makes any difference but wanted it to be as separate as possible. Separate lan / subnet and firewalled it off from the internet.
Yes, my intention is the same plus to get the best performance from both IPMI nice and the other ones. I had an old Asrock Rack and it was a mess and support didn’t really help me.
Do you mind to share the configuration?
Does lspci in your VM see the card?
I remember just setting the split option in the bios. for the firewall I run openwrt and setup a separate lan https://openwrt.org/docs/guide-user/network/dsa/dsa-mini-tutorial#multiple_bridged_networks
I had a problem of not getting into BIOS, neither kbd nor remote session accepted any key presses. The only option was reset to factory defaults, now my question is: Can the BIOS settings be backed up in BMC and downloaded? I’m aware of the copy to usb stick and save to a slot options, but each one carries its shortcomings.
@M1N1Me From the IPMI, click Maintenance and then Backup Configuration. I keep profiles for VCCM voltages of 1.30, 1.25, 1.20 for those times that I get VCCM high voltage errors that prevent posting.
What bios are most of you running on your X570d4u?
I was just sent BIOS L1.59C and BMC FW 2.11.00 for my x570d4u
I had significant stability issues with mine running a 5700G & 4x32GB 3200 Corsair DIMMs which led me to trying every BIOS Asrock had when I deployed it 548 days ago.
So I’ve stuck with BIOS L1.57 & BMC 1.39.00. I’m afraid to even try updating and risk the stability I’ve got now.
I’m running BMC 2.11 but still running BIOS P1.20….
Think my memory is 2x32GB Crucial 3200 and a 5600X
updated to BIOS L1.59C and BMC FW 2.11.00 via IPMI without issues. Networking bandwidth feels higher…
Heads up, ASRock released two updates over the summer, BMC 3.09.00 (2026-07-24) and BIOS 1.79 (2026-07-01)
Came back around to looking at openbmc on this board, turns out the power control issues were fixed like a month after I last looked at it lol. I’ve got 2 boards running an image built off the tip of releases and they’re running nicely!
