I saw this quote on Puget Sound’s website about the Thunderbolt video passthrough feature on the WRX80 Creator motherboard:
William George (Product Development SME) Says: This board has a quirk with the Thunderbolt ports which are worth pointing out: they do not pass through video properly. That is not a big deal for most users, but if you planned to daisy-chain a monitor and external storage (for example) it could be a factor.
Does anyone know exactly what he’s talking about? I still don’t entirely understand how the video passthrough system is suppoed to work, even after reading the motherboard’s manual.
