Hey guys,
I recently inherited my brother’s workstation, with the following specs
Motherboard - Asrock WRX80 Creator R2.0
Processor - Threadripper Pro 5955WX
Ram - 4x Corsair Vengeance 16gb 3600mhz non ECC Ram
GPU - 2x EVGA 3090 FTW3
Power Supply - Corsair 1600i
Storage - 2x Samsung 970 Pro 1tb
Being very new to the realm of custom PCs, I started off with reinstalling windows on it, it went smoothly. But as soon as I tried to install WSL on it, windows kept boot looping and finally repaired itself by pretty much resetting windows.
I made sure that SVT was turned on in the BIOS, yet it kept happening.
So rather than researching the issue further being an inexperienced idiot, I decided to flash the latest version of the BIOS, using Asrock’s Instant Flash BIOS tool. I followed their instructions as best as I could, after it flashed the files, it asked me to reboot the system. As soon as I hit reboot, the Dr.Debug indicator kept showing 00.
As of now I’ve tried removing all the unnecessary components, tried reseating the processor, clearing/resetting the CMOS, but nothing seems to work. I am not sure how to proceed with this.
Apologies for missing something obvious.
Thank you.
