AsRock TRX50 WS Post Code d6 -> 02

I just received my board and have been trying to get it to post all evening.
I believe it has gone through memory training - at least it did a few cycles with reboot in between (91-93-95?).
I have used the BIOS flashback to update to the lates (10.01) BIOS.
On cold boot it looks very good, but then it hangs a little while on d6 before it changes to 02 and stays there. I can’t find any information about the post code 02 other than a suggestion to reseat the cpu and clear cmos. That results in a new memory training and reboot and then 02 again. I have checked all the screws holding the mounting mechanism, made sure that the carrier frame stayed within the rails when mounting the cpu. No visual defects on the socket and cpu.

MB: AsRock TRX50 WS
CPU: 7960x
Memory: G.Skill Zeta R5 Neo DDR5-6400 - 128GB - CL32
Cooler: Noctua NH-U14S TR5-SP6
PSU: be quiet! Dark Power Pro 13 1600W
GPU: Old GT 1030 (also tried GTX 4080 Super) in slot 1
No disks connected so far.

Suggestions are very very welcome…

Have you tried rolling the BIOS back to 9.03? My TRX50 has been running very well on that version of the BIOS. I am wondering if there is a bug in the latest revision.

I did, and that worked :slight_smile:
Just for kicks (and to verify if that was the culprit) I installed 10.01 again, this time it worked :open_mouth:
Not sure was cause the initial situation then… well well computers…
