That’s the first server motherboard I’ve seen that’s shipping with USB 3.1 Gen 2 type C (I’m sure it’s not the first, just first I’ve seen). Very interesting.
Love the insane amount of PCI Gen4 x16.

If only there was a TRX40 board with 7 x16 slots, albeit those that reduce lanes when others filled as per normal practice.
The TRX40 fixed 16/8/16/8 config is peculiar.

I received the board, and its as good as I would hope to be. I am excited about the possibilities and do some interesting tinkering.
The number of PCIE lanes available on this board is simply bonkers to me. SEVEN x16 Gen 4 physical and electrical. (technically six since I need to use the 2x SATA and 2x NVME slots)
I’m going on this wild adventure of pcie bifurcation possibilities.

The sacrificial second slot is a logical move, given that there is a very good chance a section of their workstation clientele will have a 2-slot GPU.
Cool! Also i’m wondering about bifurcation possibility. If so, that’s fantastic for 14-Gpu build. Is there pcie bifurcation settings in BIOS ?
id love to know if the bios has pci-e bifurcation settings available. I’d want to plug in 8x m.2 nvme drives on 2x Quad m.2 gen 4 x16 cards from asrock or asus

i got one but, i can’t get a non vendore locked CPU. i’m wating for the 7262 to get i n stock because the only new 7151/52 i can find are almost the same price.
