Ashes of the Singularity for Linux

Stardock are asking if anyone is interested in them porting Ashes to Linux. Another big name game would be a step in the right direction.

Leave a comment in the thread on steam to show them it's worth doing.

I mean, no one actually plays it. Its a benchmarking tool.

Yeah I signed the form. I will likely get it if it is sold on Linux. Not sure how the gameplay is, I thought it was meant to be like Total Annihilation?

Yeah, but it would be nice to have another cross platform benchmark tool.

=.= we have a shitpile. The only reason to have it in DX12 is to show if DX12 has been polished yet or not.

Ash;s of the benchmark.

I played it on windows and it is terrible compared to Supreme Commander Forged Alliance....How can a epic style game not get improved on.

When it comes to DX12/Metal/Vulkan, the polishing is mostly up to the game developer and vendor drivers. I hope RADV catches up fast for linux soon, or AMD opens their version of Vulkan. RADV atm only just keeps up with OGL but never surpasses it.
