Are there any cheap external pcie housing

Mostly doing some theory crafting here but I wonder if people have any good ideas for external pcie housing ? I found this on AliExpress that is kind of snazzy, it’s 5.25" sized so you can both use it externally, or in a 5.25" drive bay. But it’s also kind of big if you only need one pcie card and maybe low profile.

There are these adapter for mini pcie to pcie that are pretty clever, even if they’re only 1x.

Then you could do fun things with USFF cases that usually lacks space for an expansion card.

Cheapest I found while searching for a workaround solution was this Startech thing (370$/€)

Yeah, I’ve seen the thunderbolt ones but they’re a bit expensive.

There are a couple of different versions of them on AliExpress. Mini pcie or pcie to dual pcie.

Oh, and this if you want to make it really weird :slight_smile:
