I have a fantastic set of Sony headphones, and a BT 5.0 dongle installed on my desktop, but the audio is never super good over BT. On my LG I can do AAC and LDAC to my headphones which sounds good. But on windows, it’s still on SBC. Rumor was that Microsoft was doing AAC for win 10 21h2 but hasn’t panned out from what I can see. It was even reported that they actually had it working for many of the insider builds, but stripped it out before the final release.
The funny thing is that I can’t find any mention of it in windows 11, nor in the release notes of 21h2, but there is a dev blog states it was working on an insider build 
Does anyone know when AAC is coming for BT audio listeners?
I personally can’t upgrade to windows 11 even if I wanted (lovely tpm 2.0) so I’m stuck with my android for right now.
