Anyone have experience with this SSD?

Was looking for an SSD (Well, really two initially I was gonna get an 80GB for system and a 64GB for Bethesda RPGs)

I ran across this though:

Mushkin Chronos 120GB

I have used Mushkin RAM for...well forever. Partly because it's always been solid and partly because they are based in Colorado where I live, so I like to support them. This thing *looks* to be blazing fast and has pretty hot reviews. Anyone tried thier SSDs?

Memory is solid so I would think thier SSDs would be too. Anyone tried them out? (Or if one of the Tek guys tested these before that would be great feedback)

A single 120 would do nicely for windows and Skyrim at least (also Office, Photoshop, etc) and for $107 that ain't bad.

To be honest I never used to a Mushkin SSD but from other I've heard good things. I can reccomend you the Samsung 840/pro or Kingston Hyper X as I have had these before and they work well. Logan says the ADATA are some good stuff but Mushkin is a good rep :) Also you won't see a real time differnce with a SSD when installing Office lol

Mushkin is a good brand, wouldn't see why their SSD would be bad.  I too have used their RAM for.... forever.  However, I have a Hyper X 120GB.  I haven't had any problems with my Hyper X, but if I would've seen Mushkin had a SSD out then I probably would have bought that instead, if it was similar in price.  In the end it's up to you, but if I had the money I would definitely try out the Mushkin ssd.

Eh what the hell, I'll give it a shot and then post back here I'll prolly just throw Skyrim on it for now since I'll be upgrading motherboard and ram soon (and will thus have to reinstall windows) so we'll see how Skyrim does and then when I redo everything in a month or so I'll see how it handles windows.

Also yeah I know I won't see much of a difference on Office, but it's tiny, and it'll keep things together to throw it on the main drive.

Games, with the exeption of Skyrim (and maybe Fallout 3 and NV) will be hanging out on the platter drives. Office is like what, half a gig? I'll do it just to keep all the little common programs organized together :P Not worried about space for them.

I pretty much just have my OS, all my drivers, my google chrome, and my iTunes (not my music) on my SSD. Amungst other random files that I just haven't gotten around to / are too small for me to care to move.

PS... I haven't been anywhere less than the first person to load up in League of Legends since I put it on my SSD a few months ago :P

Sandisk Solid State Drive 128GB much cheaper
