Since Steam Play for Linux is out now and the official list of supported titles is rather short, i thought it might be Interesting to share some of your experiences with unsupported titles.
To start this off, the only thing keeping me on Windows currently is Rocksmith 2014 (and Overwatch, but that’ll get fixed with a better graphics card soon).
It installed fine but isn’t able to launch. I get a generic error from the game and no option to troubleshoot anything.
Also, it relies on a USB Accessoire (Real-Tone Cable) and i have no clue how Steam Play handles such things. Since it doesn’t even launch i can’t tell.
This Game is old an niche enough that it probably won’t get treated by Valve, so i’m ool on that one. Until i have a second GPU to get a VM up and running for that, i’m stuck on Windows for that game. Sad, but that’s how it is.
Any input on what you tried and how it went is highly appreciated.
