I have a friend who likes Blind Guardian a lot. It isn't really my thing, but he really likes that genre. Anyway, other bands that he likes include Symphony X, Man o War, Sabaton, and Cain's Offering. Again, it isn't really my thing, so I don't know much about it, but I figured you might not have heard of some of those bands and might enjoy them (as well as anyone who clicks on a Blind Guardian thread), so there you go.

Blind Guardian, Savage Circus, Iron Savior, Demons and Wizards, Sabaton, Star One, Grave Digger, Van Canto, Primal Fear, Gamma Ray, Helloween, and a whole bunch of power metal bands that I can't remember off the top of my head.

Blind Guardian was the first band out of those that I discovered. Sacred 2 Fallen Angel Blind Guardian concert FTW. Punched them into LastFM, discovered Van Canto and their covers of songs by Grave Digger and Sabaton and branched out from there. Made a channel on Pandora and then all of the power metal came to me.

Blind Guardian and Symphony X are up there as some of my favorites.

Ive just recently gotten into power metal and similar within the last year, so yeah Blind Guardian, Symphony X, Stratovarius, etc. all great stuff. Generally i prefer all of those bands earlier stuff, mostly their 90s albums.

Hell yeah man. I was the same. Love that game gotta get back to it. Stopped at 70 I think.

I'm kinda disappointed by the single they just put out:

The only part I like is the chorus. I hope the rest of the album doesn't sound this generic.

Blind Guardian fucking kicks ass.

I love Blind Guardian, however their newer albums don't pack a punch like the older ones do.  The newer albums sound almost to clean.  Not sure how to describe exactly what I mean.

Been a Blind Guardian fan since I was 13 years old and first discovered their album Nightfall in Middle Earth. Usually tied for my favorite band at any given moment.
