Welcome to the club... but who are you calling a young man, young man? :)

I reckon I have a few more grey hairs than you (I've seen your videos!) and started my computing life with punch cards at school in the 70's....

Hahahahahahaha... so i assume that I am already you...... in the future....

And, thanks for the welcome.

What we have here is a case of mistaken identity. That damn profile picture. There... it's gone. But everything else you said is true.

I am a bit younger, even if I had the pleasure of operating a rather large punch card appliance (I'm afraid to call it a computer by today's standards). It was mostly for giggles.

My main "rig" was a ZX Spectrum (good old Basic and CPM). Just to give you an idea :)

70's

They did open up my eyes and head a fair bit....

I will never forget those things I can't remember....

I remember sending the cards off to a computer lab external to the school and getting the 'answer' back in a week. I think that is where the idea of BUS came from in computer term as I'm sure the maths teacher then took it to the lab....

And don't get me started on the golf game via a printer!

Anyhoo... still looking forward to this next chapter of UHD screen candy.... and hopefully enhanced by the profiles kindly donated to the group... Thanks again....

The seventies opened the eyes of whomever was there ! so much brain freedom (among others....) and the technology was in it s infancy and so beautiful.
the fights to get the darn cd to read in dos or win 3.1; and then the incredible victory feeling; i got it to work :-)
I still have in all my 14 or so rigs, 2 functional win 98, one win 95, 3 win xp pro/32, one vista and the rest windows 7 pro or ultimate. NO FUCKING WINDOWS 10 AND I WILL FIGHT TO THE DEATH (sound good.lol)
edit 1 = remember a virus transmitted by printer ports ?
edit 2 = the days of binary coding and than storing the whole thing on a good old cassette (4 track). shit 1 meg was like 10 gigs is now.
edit 3 = I REALLY MISS THOSE DAYS...............sob...sob......:-(

Hi all, I'm using a Wasabi Mango UHD 400, and finding the UHD videos above are stuttering a lot full screen. I have freesync enabled on the monitor and the card, the card is an AMD Radeon 295x2, 1200 Watt PSU.

I'm using the cable that came with the monitor, looks pretty fat, although i have to go down to mini DP to plug into the card. have tried two cables and is exactly the same.

Also tried the AMD Freesync app at 60fps fullscreen and it perfectly smooth, not really sure what this is and how to get around it, can anyone help?

Thanks

Wrong thread, you want this one: https://forum.teksyndicate.com/t/42-inch-4k-freesync-for-the-masses-wasabi-mango-uhd420-tek-syndicate/86441

Anyone able to share these ICM’s?

Holy thread resurrection…

I also updated the links in the first post.

Don’t forget, the settings at the beginning of the thread are very important if you want to achieve anything close to a color calibrated screen with any of these profiles. Also do note that each monitor is a little different, and these settings + profiles may not work just as well on yours as they do on mine.

But do experiment and don’t forget to have fun.

Nice! Thanks for reposting.

For some reason, my RGB’s lowest setting is 78. I think I must have version 2 and the board is slightly different.
