AMD Raid 0 vs Storage Spaces for overhead/

Yes yes, raid 0 is a bad idea and mobo raid is an even worse idea. :stuck_out_tongue:

Wondering if anyone has experience running modern nvme drives in raid 0 using AMDraidXpert2, purly for benchmarking purposes. I have seen lots of posts on this subject but they were all running older motherboards with limited pcie lanes or shared m.2 lanes so they hit bottlenecks. I just picked up a x670e Steel legend and have 2 used Samsung 990 Pros
I also have a teamgroup Z5 that will be the boot drive in the pcie 5 m.2 slot.

My main questions are: Has AMD raid gotten any better with nvme drives now that it has received some updates and the lanes are available (is trim finally supported?)
And if anyone has tried will running raid through the bios or windows storage spaces net better overall performance?
And side question is there a cpu performance hit? (does windows SS and AMDraid have the same cpu performance hit?)

Thanks
