Apologies if this has been covered but i was wondering if anyone has compared this chip with intel's latest offerings around the same price (720.00 on Newegg) as of 11/21. My intented use is virtualization and folding.
I'm not an expert on either chip, but looking up benchmarks and stuff it looks like the Xeon E5-2630 V3 is a little faster, $48 cheaper, and more power efficient. On the the other hand though, DDR4 is pretty freaking expensive right now.
