Hi. So I am considering building a PC with an AMD A10 7850K. So I chose the Gigabyte GA-A88XM-D3H. Is this motherboard compatible out of the box or should I perform a BIOS Update? If I have to update, how should I do that without an older APU to perform the update?

It should work out of the box. I would bet that the only mobos that work out of the box with Kavari (no bios update) would be the ones labeled as "FM2+" and not the ones labeled "FM2/FM2+" but I would have to look further into it to be certain.
