Tom's isn't the most reliable source of information. I don't know of anyone on here who has been expecting the next gen cpus to come any sooner than late 2016 at the earliest (at least for Zen, there is a possibility of AM4 being released around April along with non-Zen based APUs). The gpus haven't really had a rumored release date, but considering that they are going to be on the same node (if I'm not mistaken), they should come around the same time. Not shocking news in the slightest as far as I am concerned. The fact that it has been taped out is what matters here. That means that real progress has been made and that these things are definitely coming to market once they get production up and running.

yea aware toms isnt that reliable, hence the disclaimer, Yea expect them to come out 2016, but it could be later in the year (4th quarter....) which could be bad for them if Nvida get theirs out first and do so at a lower price to smash amd as we have seen time and time again.
