AMD driver stuck when installing

Hi

I have just installed Gnome Ubuntu and I’m trying to install the video driver. I have downloaded and extracted the right driver from AMD's website and have run the sudo sh./.run command. It extracts some stuff and then just hangs. Any ideas?

Use the "drivers" tool on Ubuntu to install proprietary drivers (or don't install them at all, actually).

Did that work for you? I had this issue when I upgraded to Ubuntu 14.04.2 and there was a big bug in the LTS that changed some packages that the linux driver depends on. If it didn't work I might be able to help you get those installed. They really can be a pain sometimes.
