Friend got a laptop, wanted to make sure it could play Minecraft sp I told him to look out for AMD's 'A' series processors. I got him to download TF2 now he LOVES PC gaming, I just wanna know what he'll be able to run so I know what games he should get.
It should do CS;S, Half Life 2, and Gmod pretty nice right? I had an A8 before and it ran them beautifully, but the A6 is a decent setback from it.
So, any reccomended games it could handle in 720p?
And anyone have any sites with benches?
He doesn't wanna buy any expensive games, and is more of a casual gamer. He doesn't play a whole lot and just likes simple value games with a big fun factor. Which is why I wanna suggest some Valve games to him lols.
Btw he paid 370$ for it, so not bad.
Did you have the A8 on a desktop and what is the actual CPU called the AMD A6 _ _ _ _M?
hard reset. if my intel hd 3000 can do it in 1080, his can in 720
if HD-3000 can handle it in 1080, an A6 can handle it in 1080 considering the Intel HD-4000 isnt even as good as the VIA S3 540
Naw, HP laptop. He has an HP also. And A6 4400.

But will the laptops monitor actually show 1080?

No, the resolution only goes up to 1600 x 900 which is somewhere between 720p and 1080p.
which is why I said what I did. i get 1080 cause I use an external monitor
No external monitor will be used, so I'll just tell him to stay at 720p and keep his framerates up a bit.
