I've been trying to sell my old PC, but I'm having a hard time finding a buyer. It consists of an ASUS M5A78L-M LX Plus motherboard, an AMD Phenom II x4 965 BE, 8 gigabytes of crucial 1333 DDR3 memory and an Nvidia GTX 650 oc with 2 gigs of DDR5 memory (Which replaced my ATI 4670). All of this is housed in a Fractal Design Core 1000 with a generic 500 watt psu with 2 stock fans. I was asking at the most $300. Am I asking too much for it? Keeping in mind I got this computer when i was 14 and only used it to play games.
Personally I don't think so. I've personally very recently sold computers with less power for 200-250 on craigslist. Its just at least in my area there's a lot of desktops listed and not a lot of buyers ATM.
I would but that so fast if I saw it. Remember most people on a budget are younger and don't look into computers for sale on places like Ebay, craigslist, ect... and those not on a budget probably want a high end new system or something along those lines. Especially with that done AM3 socket. I personally would go for it, but deals like that aren't where I live so i'm sure you'll find a buyer here (Antelope Valley, SoCal).
Could I possibly be asking too little? It felt strange asking for 300 initially because of the older parts.
if i needed a second desktop i'd be throwing money at you in a second
I don't think so. I recently sold this on craiglist for 400 it took about a week
Samsung F3 1 tb hard drive
8 gigs ocz fatality RAM
amd radeon 5870 gigabyte 1 gig Graphics card
amd phenom 2 940 black edition 3.0ghz CPU
biostar 790gx motherboard
ocz mod extreme pro 700 watt modular power supply
Xigamatec Utgard clear window case
sony cd/dvd burner
windows 7 Pro 64 bit
I used to windows key from my old build for my new one, should i buy a windows os to gain a better selling point, or is that just throwing money in a hole?
I sold a PC a few weeks ago just like it, 200 bones, without a paid OS...they got Mint
Ive got a q6600 with a overclock to 3ghz and 8gb of ddr2 ram, 500gb sata hdd and a GTX 650ti that I'm going to have on craigslist soon and thats even older parts than you have for sale and im positive i'll get atleast $300 bucks for it if not a little more. I still think $300 is more than fair for your rig.
Money in a hole. Could always just install the windows 7 30 day trial and state that in the listing. Most likely who ever buys it is savy enough to find a activator or other means. Or just put Linux on it. Someone will buy it because of its parts.
im selling a w7 home 64bit oem disc w/ key if anyone wants it
Say something like ''console killer'' in the description or title. Cheaper than the xbone/ps4 and still delivers ;)
id give you 3 for it.
Should sell at that price, the AMD phenom Cults are probably watching it like hawks to see if the price drops...
Lol never heard of the cult but i must be one of them. built 20pcs using them
$300 for that rig is fair try partingt out.
So is $150 for a pc with 8gb 1600mhz ram, 500gb hdd, windows 7 ultimate, radeon 6770, gigabyte z68a-d3-b3, and an i7-2600k crazy?
Yes, but don't worry you can sell it to me ;).
That is what I payed for my pc in early 2013.
From where?!
