I am using Linux Mint on a NUC that is connected to a TV at work that is always on showing some information. After some time, Mint just locks the screen. I don’t want Mint no go into standby or lock the screen. I tied deactivating it in the settings, but it seems to have some problems, and it still does lock the screen. Is there a way via the terminal to deactivate it for sure?
Is this setting toggle resetting, to the default position, after update/shutdown/etc.?
Just download caffeine
. Then run it and it will show you an indicator when your system gets caffeinated, or when it can go to sleep.
Yeah, I’ve got Mint connected to a telly and yes it locks the screen.
