Hi,
I am going to New York, and America for the first time ever, and I am looking into doing a open helicopter tour with these guys flynyon
I was wondering if anyone had experience doing this kind of photography and specifically in New York I guess.
What lens is best to use, I mainly use fixed high quality zeiss prime lenses
I have a choice of these at the moment in addition to my 4k action cam which I will mount somewhere
Zeiss Batis 25mm f2
Zeiss Distagon 35mm f1.4
Zeiss Batis 85mm f1.8
or Sony G 70-200 F4
Any thoughts?
An Aerial view of New York? That sure is a lot of gray to look at.

What cameras do you have for this?
Sony a7ii
and Nikon D800
But only planned to bring my Sony a7ii on the trip
Disclaimer: I haven't been in the situation.
I would bring a long lens. And because there will be enough light, I would probably bring the zoom.
I don't think changing lenses in a flying helicopter is a good idea.
I also think the only thing a lens hood would catch is wind, so leave those in the hotel.
Maybe rent a second body the day before (to set it up).
Then you could strap on a wide lens and have both.
I hope it is nice out or you have the flexibility to get a nice day as it will be stunning. The new tower is beautiful.
Make sure you try a dirty water hotdog from a street vendor. The taste is amazing!
Avoid the bronx:)
