Advice neede on os an drive cloning

can i use two EZConvert MB705M2P-B an a Black FD2002 to clone

my current pop os 21.04 with disc encryption on a crucial p1 500gb

to a SK hynix Gold P31 500GB PCIe NVMe Gen3 without issue

an can after be run on the same mobo or a newer one without having to reinstall
or reset anything os wise

I don’t think the ezconvert changes the NVMe from M.2 to SATA, but instead from M.2 to U.2 which looks more like a SAS connector, with a solid link between data and power connectors, requiring a different dock.

Wendell did a couple videos with U.2 docks that might work, but they needed to be connected to PCIe raid/HBA cards on a desktop.

I would advise hooking up both drives to one computer and booting into a bootable cloning operating system like one from Acronis.

And obviously just make sure the target device is the same if not larger than the source drive.

Theoretically that would work better and cheaper without extra hardware.
